ACP Case Study

About the client

Advanced Care Partners provides at-home care for medically fragile children and adults. Their staff includes registered nurses, licensed practicing nurses, and certified nursing assistants. ACP prides itself in providing highly-qualified nursing care that focuses on the families and communities served by their staff.

The challenge

Due to the particular needs of the client base, ACP has a rigorous training and orientation program. Previously, this process was conducted in-person by members of the leadership team, including the CEO. However, as the company’s nursing staff grew in size, time limitations made it impractical for the leaders to go through the orientation process with all the new hires.

The solution

We created an orientation video which incorporated all of the elements of the process, from welcoming remarks by the company’s Chairman and CEO, to PowerPoint presentations outlining specific in-field policies and procedures. The video includes breaks for questions from newly-hired staff, which are answered by an ACP leadership member attending the orientations.

Benefits: This video

  • Enables key leaders to have a presence during the orientation process without the need to be there in person

  • Offers a concise description of the company’s expectations, policies, and procedures for new hires

  • Incorporates timed breaks to allow new employees to ask questions or clarify points in the video

  • Streamlines the orientation process while ensuring new hires are completely familiar with ACP’s mission and operations

  • Can be viewed again at any time to reinforce procedures and guidelines that are crucial to maintaining the company’s standard of excellence
